The title says"T-35" but the subject is more than that -- it is all about early Eastern Front warfare with a collection of 12 scenarios ALL set in the summer/fall of 1941 with one exception. The land battleships roll out, at a rather slow pace, spitting fire. But the T-26 and Czech-made armor is also present amidst the grain, collective farms and Russian steppes of Ukraine.
From a translated Russian source:
The combat career of the T-35 was very short. On June 21, 1941 at 2400 hours in the tank regiments of the 34th Tank Division, stationed south-west of Lvov, declared an alert. The tanks were refueled and taken to the training ground, where the loading of ammunition began. In the ensuing battles, all T-35s of the 8th Mechanized Corps were lost.
In the "Journal of Military Operations of the 34th Tank Division" there are the following records about the T-35:
"On June 22, 1941, the division acted with 7 KV, 38 T-35, 238 T-26 and 25 BT."
On June 24, by the time the division performed from the Yavoriv-Grudek-Jagiellonian forest, 17 T-35s had fallen behind...
On June 26, another 10 T-35s fell behind...
By June 27, all T-35s were behind."
