Between DUBNO and BRODY, Russia, 28 June 1941: Most T-35s were lost after their engagement at Verba as a result of mechanical breakdowns. But not all. However, a few tanks turned around and bared their multi-turreted claws. Some casualties were incurred by the Germans as a result of the T-35 crews resolve. These actions took place between Dubno and Brody. The former was recaptured on 28 June by the 8th Mechanised Corps, while Brody, once it fell, remained in German hands until 1944. It was between these places that a group of T-35s engaged the Germans in a running battle.
