Operation Weserübung was Germany's invasion of Denmark and Norway during World War II, commencing on April 9, 1940. Aimed at securing vital maritime routes and preventing Allied control, Germany swiftly occupied Denmark in a single day with minimal resistance. Concurrently, German forces launched a coordinated attack on Norway, facing tougher resistance but eventually succeeding by early June. The operation saw significant naval and land battles, especially around the strategic port of Narvik. Despite initial successes, the Allies were ultimately forced to withdraw from Norway due to the broader German offensives in Western Europe, leaving Norway under German occupation until the war's end.

This is PLAN R4: Weserübung '40, a set of 8 scenairos set during the pivotal month of April 1940 when Churchill and Hitler raced to see which country's military could secure vital natural resources first. The conflict would embroil soldiers from Norway, Germany, Denmark, France and Britain (and some Poles for good measure) before the victor emerged.

The set includes 8 scenarios, ALL played on a set of 6 geomorphic boards that are part of our GEO 2025 series, now in its third release (T-35 and Huns)! You also get a ew color folio AND if you order between 27 November and 2 December 2024 A COMPLETE SET OF 736 color die-cut Norwegian Nationality counters from the latest counter print run.

    >> You will need French, German, Allied Minor, and British counters to play -- from our Nat Sets of official modules.
