Fraiture Village, Belgium, 23 December 1944: While the 3rd Battalion, 4th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment attacked elements of the 643rd Tank Destroyer Battalion from the west, elements of the 2nd Battalion attacked the village of Fraiture from the east. The paratroopers of the 325th Glider Regiment were eating breakfast inside the warm houses of the village when a group of SS panzergrenadiers attacked. The surprised paratroopers did not have time to finish breakfast....
