Over two decades ago ASLer and designer Bob O'Connor designed the first take on what would become GENESIS III, focused on the Israeli War of Independence of 1948. Bob went on to augment that effort with scenarios depicting the 1956 Sinai conflict, and soon author Abraham Edelheit, PhD, joined the fray with his authoritative take on the subject, first published in CH Magazine, Volume 6, No. 3. Abe is a prolific author and you can probe his expertise in works such as his History of the Holocaust: A Handbook and Dictionary (click here to get a copy) - not to mention one of the volumes that also graces the CH Library: The Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union: A Selected Bibliography of Sources in English (Bibliographies and Indexes in World History), written by Abe and his father, Hershel Edelheit (click here to get a copy). The GENESIS series covers conflicts from 1948 to 1992, with ongoing work to bring the action to the current year. The collection of counters, alone, is greater than the sum of Beyond Valor through Code of Bushido, and depict modern weapons-systems, as well as World War II relics that saw action all the way into the 1973 Yom Kibbur War. The series began an investigation into the impact of ERA, depictions of irregular warfare untouched in the genre and so much more. ASLComp ARAB-ISRAELI WARS Series |
