Götterdämmerung
SOLD OUT

Götterdämmerung: Twilight of
the Gods was the first PHASE II
release from Moments in History. And something about it must
have struck a chord with customers.
"The game was the fastest sold out title
in the history of MiH" said Ray Tapio, President of MiH
in a recent phone interview. "When we bought the line out,
it had retreated to a ziplock presentation; that is no more"
said Tapio. He went on to say, "We're gratified to see the
MiH line back in stores and on gamers tables and take away a
lot of lessons from the Götterdämmerung experience
to make our next title better."
No doubt the topic, the little-gamed Battle
of Berlin, and an innovative Berlin street-level inset map, helped
move things along.
The previously announced as 'next' title,
D-Day: The Great Crusade will follow TOBRUK, which
will be the next title released title by MiH.
TOBRUK Hammers
Across the Desert Floor
The long-awaited Tobruk
from MiH continues to move forward, albeit slowly, with the completion
of almost all the art, including the box art.
"Right now we're working over the list
of scenarios, of which there are quite a few", said MiH's
Ray Tapio. In fact, over 60 were submitted by designers, so many
that the firm plans two expansion packs to be released along
with the boxed game.
A Gamers Guide is also slated, along with
a miniatures set along the lines of Critical Hit's successful
All American MINIS, (sold out).
D-DAY Coming
From MiH for Summer 2001
The long-awaited D-Day: The Great Crusade
has been pushed back to early/mid-2002.
"We wanted to give the game another round
of testing and let the lessons of our Götterdämmerung
release sink in to the benefit of Crusade", said MiH's Ray
Tapio. "The bottom line is we want Crusade to be simply
great and eliminate the whine factor 100%", Tapio continued.
He went on, "We're only going to have one crack at an operational
D-Day game and we want it to count."

GUERRA CIVIL:
The Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 Debuts at Origins 2001 for SQUADS
& LEADERS SELL OUT IMMINENT
Following the sale of every copy of GENESIS
48, Critical Hit, Inc. is hot on the heels of success with the
new SQUADS & LEADERS module GUERRA CIVIL: The Spanish
Civil War 1936-1939. The new module follows its predecessor
GENESIS 48 in almost the exact fashion. While GENESIS was long-awaited,
and long-delayed during a 'build-up' of its components from origin
to completion, GC, submitted only a few months after GENESIS,
was developed on the hush-hush.
A spokesman for CH said, "Guerra Civil
is almost sold out already. We better print more copies of our
next module".
GC is designed by Spanish brothers Juan and
Francisco Cebrian. Check out the GUERRA CIVIL
page at the Critical Hit website.
CH Welcomes
Large New Batch of Playtesters; Asks for Patience
The largest group of playtest volunteers in
the history of Critical Hit have answered the call over the last
120 days, leading to a backlog of assignment setting.
CH President Ray Tapio has asked all new volunteers
to please be patient as new assignments are focused to the groups.
